Sustainable land use is a pivotal, often overlooked, climate solution. GIPL’s ReWilding program focuses on the ecological regeneration of congregational lands, restoring natural processes, and fostering more resilient ecosystems and communities. Come on Oct. 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in LaGrange to learn more about how your congregation can “ReWild” sacred grounds through projects like tree plantings, native plants, and community gardens. During this workshop, participants will tour a pollinator garden, hear from Ashley Desensi with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, and brainstorm possible ReWilding solutions for your congregation. After the workshop, participants will be invited to apply for a $500 seed grant to help implement a solution on their congregational property.
