Insights 2025: A Roadmap to Opportunity will be January 24. Start the year and Georgia’s Legislative Session with Georgia Budget and Policy Institute by diving deep into the state budget, the starting place of all Georgia’s policies. This year Federal policies that could alter our budget or change how we spend it will also be considered. In addition to the usual in-person discussion of research and analysis, this year’s insights will also feature a virtual webinar in the afternoon where GBPI will discuss the BEST campaign with some partners. Along with Barred Business, 9to5 Georgia, GALEO, Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda and ProGA, they are launching the Building Economic Security Together (BEST) campaign to reimagine state economic security policies and programs, shift public narratives and discourse, and build diverse partnerships that center and engage directly impacted communities. The in-person portion of the event that discusses state budget and policy will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Georgia Freight Depot. The discussion about the BEST campaign will take place from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on zoom.
