A Matter of Balance Workshop

The Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging presents an interactive, small-group 8 week workshop at the Decatur Recreation Center for any older adult or adult with disabilities who has a fear of falling, has fallen in the past, or is interested in improving flexibility, balance, and strength. This program was developed to address and reduce the fear of falling and social isolation while increasing activity levels and confidence among workshop participants, effectively reducing instances of falls! Participants may participate seated or standing. Register at Community Pass Catalog or call 470-378-1630. Meets weekly on Tuesdays, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., January 14 – March 4.
